The Beginning

This is my beloved Xiao Bai (little white).

Our love for bunnies would not have started without him. We found him outside a school compound, looking lost and confused. That was in 2001.

Xiao Bai has since left us for a better place over at the other end of the rainbow. He is probably sniffing at sunflowers and binky-ing after butterflies now!

I think rabbits are a highly misunderstood lot here in Singapore. Many perceive them as smelly, boring and can only live in cages. Others abandon them in reservoirs and parks, thinking that they would find "happiness" out there in the wild. Not knowing that they are in fact sentencing these rabbits a death parole by doing so.

Rabbits can be such bundles of joy if you take some time to understand them and know their natural habits. By knowing how to live with indoors rabbits, they can bring you so much joy and fun. Many abandon these furry friends because they do not understand what rabbits need and hence end up having the house in a mess. This is a very sad thing.

So this is what our webstore is about - sharing our bunny moments and offering solutions as well as products to bunny owners, to help them provide a conducive home for the house bunny.

We hope to see more people know the right way to keep a house rabbit happy. Our vision is to see all rabbits kept snuggly indoors and in playpens rather than just wire-bottom cages. We hope to work with likeminded individuals and companies to work towards such a goal. Our ultimate mission is to do our bit for the bunnies to make their world a better place to live in! :)

Our Beliefs
Here at The Busy Barn, we only source for products which are natural, pesticide-free, chemical-free and fumigant-free, and where possible, made from organic materials.

The Busy Barn only brings you products that are good enough for Cookie & Cream as well as Munchy (our current house bunnies). They are the "bunny-pigs" for the toys and treats sold at The Busy Barn.

We are based in Singapore, and would love to have more local & overseas merchants work with us to have more rabbit-friendly products made available to bunny owners here in Singapore.

This store has been opened since January 2007.
